Diös has set a long-term climate goal that aligns with the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to a maximum of 1.5°C. The goal means that Diös is to halve its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by no later than 2030, and subsequently achieve net-zero emissions by no later than 2045. This goal has now been audited and approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, SBTi.
Diös is taking an active role in the transition that needs to take place to limit climate change as far as possible. This is a shift that is crucial to our future business, and it is a natural progression in the evolution of the company as efforts to reduce climate change are important in real estate management, project development and transactions.
Work to transition business operations to become more sustainable has already started. Setting a clear goal and having it approved by SBTi is a way for the company to clarify its current situation, its target and its plan of action.
The SBTi is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the WorldWideFundforNature(WWF). The SBTi call to action is one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments.
